I use Tik Tok
on average 4.5 hours a day. This is because I use it for entertainment but also as an outlet to get my news and information. I use it because Tik Tok allows me to find out the latest news by watching a video up to 3 minutes long about any topic. I also like that so many people are on Tik Tok so that means a lot of opinions are contributed and we can find news out faster since there is so many people all around the world with the ability to share news on the app. I think others should use Tik Tok because it is user friendly to use and also is an app where you can cater your videos to what you want to see. If you are more for the news side then you can make it so your algorithm shows more videos about the news. Or if you are like me and you enjoy sport highlights then you can make it so the majority of videos you see on your account. The other nice thing about Tik Tok is that you are able to toggle between a "For you" tab and a "following" tab for videos. So, it allows you to separate videos from the users you follow and the videos and users that the app itself is suggesting you watch.I use Google news the most out of any other news source when looking to read about an issue or event. This is due to the amount of information I am able to gain from using it. It not only gives me good headlines about the topic I search but it also gives me scholarly articles to support the search results that shows up. It gives me a range of articles and responses. It won't just be the most recent at the top. It is the best answer and or response at the top. I also like Goggle News for how easy it is to use. I just need to type in the box any topic or idea and bam, the results start flowing and the results are coming from all around the world. Not just about in the United States or local, results are from all over. Speaking of all over the world, you aren't just given articles about whatever topic you discuss but you also are able to access videos and photos too.
I use the BBC because they try their best to deliver news that is accurate and unbiased. Or as much as possible being unbiased, it aims to inform the public without taking sides. The BBC covers a wide range of stories from around the world, giving people a better understanding of what’s happening in different countries. The BBC follows their mission of outputting unbiased news by checking facts carefully before sharing the information on their site. The BBC is trusted by many people all around the world, which is also nice as you have a wide variety of viewers and readers. Meaning that stories will be diverse as well. BBC does well at quickly and accurately reporting important problems and events from around the world.
